The
New Bridge
built in
1972 as the second one of the four bridges at the present time which
join the right and left banks. The suspension bridge is 432 m long and
there are three places from which it hangs on ropes made made of steel.
It is 21 m wide with pavements for pedestrians on both sides of it. In
the height o 80 m there is the rounded café Bystrica. |

The Harbour Bridge
built
in 1984, consists of the bridge body, a four-linehighway which is
nowadazs part of te motor way D1 which is situated on te top level. The
level below has two railway lines. It joins Bratislava, Austria and
Hungary.The total length the four-field two-pier bridge which spans the
river Danube is 461 m. On the both ides of the bridge there are ways for
cyclists to ride to the opposite embankment

The
Lafranconi Bridge
built in
1988 as the fourth one and for now the last finished bridge in
Bratislava. At the same time bridge object where concrete made carrier
construction was used is temporary provisional connected to the motorway
D2. Its length is 766 m, consists of 6 fields / segments/and has one
11-metre-tall
pier.

The Incheba Complex
The realization of its
upbuilding took place between 1977 – 1990. The Incheba a.s. is an
exhibition grounds where fair enterprises and congresses are organised
and taken place providing sales-promoting compaighs using audiovisual
system, representing foreign companies in the field of advertising.

The most important business and shopping centres
Since
2000 first hypermarkets have started to appear in Bratislava /
Carrefour, Tesco and Terno /. At the edge of Janko Krá¾´s park the
biggest and most modern departament store called Aupark was established
in 2001. There are 152 shops and fashion butiques, cluds, cafés, several
restaurants, PC gambling rooms, amusement arcadewitin the complex. There
we can find an ultramodern cinema, too as well as a poolroom with 36
tables and a playground for squash |
